Scotland has been on my mind for a while. I was longing for its isolation and crystal clear shores. I took an adventure to the furthest westerly part of the UK, on Barra, the southerly most island of the Outer Hebrides.
Here are my photos from camping on this mini-adventure to the far-flung beauty of the Scottish islands....
The west coast of Sweden is a calm, gentle place. Pervaded by a sense of good living and complimented by generous helpings of fresh seafood. I travelled to Vrango and the surrounding islands off the Gothenburg archipelago last September.
The west coast of Ireland has always held a huge amount of fascination for me. Wild and windswept and seemingly straight out of Lord of the Rings, but equally with its fair share of gentle beauty and calm, peaceful, isolated stretches of still water. Photos of my road trip to County Mayo and the island of Inishbofin. Read more about this trip here.
Isles of Scilly
The Isles of Scilly, 28 miles of the west coast of Cornwall, are some of my favourite islands in the world and possibly my favourite place in the world. A mix of gentle landscapes and wild Atlantic vistas....
I have been to Greece more times than anywhere else in the world, and each year I still go back for more to delve into its quirks, charms and unique variety between each island. Here, I take photos of the mountainous and isolated south coast of Crete.
Norway is a world unto itself. Sparsely populated and with huge areas of grand vistas waiting to explore, its an outdoor enthusiasts dream, but also a place with its own sensitive culture and link to the environment. Some photography here of a short trip to Bergen and the seemingly endless surrounding Fjords.
